LIM SE ERN

As BETA’s Practice Lead, Se Ern serves as the main contact point for members, working with growing enterprises to understand their business needs and formulate technology adoption strategies.

Se Ern’s professional experiences in the Built Environment span the private and public sector. Prior to joining BETA, she delivered placemaking strategies at Shophouse & Co where she handled projects of various typologies and communities. This included place visioning with business owners in the heartlands, developing strategies for cultural precincts, and co-creating a masterplan with youths in lifestyle districts. In her previous role at the Urban Redevelopment Authority, Se Ern was involved in identifying and facilitating opportunities for collaboration in URA’s network of volunteers, stakeholders and champions. She was also part of national-scale engagements for the Draft Masterplan.

Se Ern has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a major in Urban Studies from Yale-NUS College, bringing a broad multi-disciplinary perspective of the city to the BETA team. She remains passionate about how the physical development of spaces shape communities within, and wants to explore how research and innovation can expand the key role that businesses and technology play in this.
