Types of Projects and Membership Benefits

Projects undertaken by BETA firms can be broadly classified under two categories:

As a member of BETA, you enjoy the following benefits:

  • Collaboration with progressive firms both within and outside the BE sector

  • Access to cutting edge technologies from firms and IHLs, to help bring viable products to commercialisation

  • Access to shared laboratories, equipment and test bedding facilities at a preferential rate

  • Facilitation to address regulatory hurdles early, and potential Regulatory Sandboxes to be discussed with regulatory agencies

  • Access to BETA Catalyst funding for impactful projects

  • Royalty-free rights to use Core Project foreground IP (for Tier 1 and 2 firms only)

  • Preferential rate for licensing Core Project foreground IP (for Tier 3 firms)

Member Structure (including fees and annual commitment in R&I):

Special benefits for Anchor Tier members:

In addition, Tier 1 firms that commit for 3 years or more are recognised as "Anchor" members. These Anchor Tier members will be heavily involved in steering the direction of research and innovation (R&I) within the BETA Consortium. Anchor members will enjoy added benefits such as additional voting rights in determining new memberships and prioritising Core Project proposals.
